40 Mile Training Run: Pine Creek Rail Trail

Two weeks ago, 32 miles on the Pine Creek Rail Trail (REPORT). Last weekend, Call of the Wilds Mountain Marathon (REPORT) and Catharine Valley Half Marathon (REPORT) on consecutive days. Yesterday, 40 miles on the Pine Creek Rail Trail including two climbs up the 1,000ft+ "Turkey Path" at miles 22 and 32 to throw a little variety into an otherwise flat day.

All the hard training for the Pine Creek Challenge 100k on September 6th is now behind me. Nothing let to do but relax, recover, and stay sharp for the big day. Yesterday's 40 miler was my longest sustained run, ever. Tacking 22 more miles on to that is going to be an adventure to say the least.
