Founders Centennial IPA (review)

Today's review is of Grand Rapids Michigan based Founders Brewing Company's Centennial IPA. Founders has been brewing since the late 90's and now produces around 400,000 barrels each year. This is my first taste and review of a beer made by Founders.

7.2% AVB and 65IBs. Centennial is semi-dark amber orange hued beer with a frothy white head. Aroma is sweet and floral. Flavor is big on bread and caramel, perhaps overly so for this hophead's liking, but with a pronounced "floralness," that I do like. Mouth feel, thick and creamy.

Maybe its not a very good IPA, or maybe I'm just spoiled, but I'm less than thrilled.

Musical Pairing: Numb by Linkin Park. Music that sucks for a sucky beer
