Live Citrusy Session Pale Ale (review)

Southern Tier Brewing Company has a great line up of beers. I've tried several and the latest is Live Pale Ale which the company describes as a 'Citrusy Session Pale Ale.' What also makes this particular commercial craft brew interesting is that it is bottle conditioned with living yeast providing the carbonation just as it would in a typical home brew such as my own.

On the market since 2012, this light bodied beer has a light copper complexion, and as the brewer suggested, oozes with citrus. Officially its listed as an American Pale Ale (APA), but could easily be marketed as a session IPA, with his huge, bright, fresh citrus (grapefruit, orange peel) aroma an taste. Look also for hints of pine and grass.
