Arrogant Bastard (review)

So what if its 11:45AM on a Monday morning. I'll review another beer if I damn well please, and there is nothing you can do about it.Today I'm checking Arrogant Bastard, the strong American ale aged in  Kentucky bourbon barrels, produced by the ever dependable brewers at Stone.

8.1%ABV, huge off white foamy head upon pouring, and a dark amber color like mahogany or cherry wood finish on a piece of classic furniture.  As you might expect the aroma is "woody" and "smoky," courtesy of the barrel aging which no doubt also contributes to its color. As far as flavor, what some reviewers have mistaken as "astringent," i'll chalk up to bourbon residue. If you swallow slowly and give the flavors a chance to develop over your tongue, look for hints of vanilla and caramel.
