Clif Builder's Bars (Review)

With an early spring in the air here in Pa Trail Races territory, I've begun to transition from craft beer critic (My Reviews), back to endurance junkie, and with that comes inevitably the need to shed those winter pounds and instead pack on lean muscle. As a long time fan of the classic Clif Bar (review), Clif Builder's, were a no-brainer when it comes to boosting my protein intake.

Clif Builder's are smaller and denser than the classic Clif Bar, without being rock hard jawbreakers like so many other protein bars.

Powered by Soy, each bar packs 20 grams of protein. While arguably Gluten Free and Lactose Free, be advised that trace amounts might be present due to cross contamination. Clif Builder's are available in 7 flavors, my current favorite is the rich, sweet, nutty Chocolate Peanut Butter.

I've found Clif Builder's to be easy on the stomach, and ideal as a hunger-fighter between meals. I like to throw one in my truck for a workday snack, and I'm always sure to have one on hand to kick start recovery immediately after a long run (My Race Reports)

280 calories. No GMO's. Rainforest Alliance Certified.
