I go through a lot of lotion. That being the case, I simply cannot afford to lube up with 10 to 20+ dollar a bottle, high end creams every time. For this reason, while I do typical keep a bottle of higher end lotion (Eucerin, Sarna) on hand for 'emergencies,' the rest of the time I (such as when I step out of the shower after work, or a trail run) I need a low cost 'daily use,' lotion that appropriate for the entire body. I've tried many, both name brand and generic, but the one that really seems to do the trick is Vaseline Intensive Care Advanced Repair (unscented) lotion with micro-droplets of Vaseline jelly. Combined with African Black Soap (review) and a (nearly) gluten-free diet, my skin is as soft as I can ever remember it being, with fewer breakouts, and reduced dependence on hydro-cortisone steroid creams.
Vaseline Intensive Care Advanced Repair is longer lasting than similarly priced (around $5 / 10 oz) name brand and generic unscented lotions, resulting in fewer applications daily.
