Weyerbacher Sunday Morning Stout (2018)

Beer Review #203

Hello, hello! Welcome Back Beer Porn lovers! I hope you like tar-black beer, because that's what you'll get from Pennsylvania based Weyerbacher Brewing Company's Sunday Morning Stout.

I've had this beer before, but its been a few years and I'm excited to wrap my lips around this one once again. Sunday Morning Stout! Yeah, lets get right to it.

Remember when you were a kid and your family still went to a non-catholic church and there were those church functions in the church basement with percolated coffee? No? Well I do. I was a child of the 80's and early 90's. Haven't set foot in a church in years, but.... That's the kind of coffee that is going on here, in spades. Coming in at a massive 12.7%ABV, the alcohol in this beer is remarkably well hidden, but it also has that certain veg-ital something that comes from poorly brewed coffee.

This is a big ass middle-American breakfast beer that will never be consumed by the folks who could most benefit from the liberation that comes from this level of subtle-alcohol. Its a get-fucked-up-at-breakfast-kind-of-beer.

Ride the vibe....
